Diesel engine speed governor is mainly applied to diesel motor fuel injection pump. It is designed to compensate the injection performance of the fuel injection pump. When the load of the engine decreases, the rotate speed will increase correspondingly. As a result, the more fuel will be delivered which will again lead to the higher rotate speed. This vicious circle will continue until the engine is out of control. Contrarily, this vicious circle can also cause flameout of the engine.
Diesel engine speed governor is applied to change this vicious circle. It could automatically control the fuel supply according to the load of the engine. It is a necessary part to ensure smooth operation at a specified rotary speed.
